Michael Crouch Innovation Centre

This artwork was conceived as a tribute to Michael Crouch’s vision and his lasting contribution to innovation and entrepreneurial culture in Australia. Created to mark the anniversary of the Michael Crouch Innovation Centre (MCIC), the piece embodies the centre’s core principles: experimentation, bold thinking, collaboration, and forward momentum.

The work was developed using tools within the MCIC, integrating its innovative environment directly into the making process. It combines unique papercut techniques with digital design methodologies and traditional craftsmanship, bridging contemporary technology with hand-crafted precision. The layered construction symbolises ideas building upon one another—structure supporting creativity—while light and shadow articulate depth, growth, and transformation.
